Community Based Support (CBS) is a not-for-profit Tasmanian organisation delivering aged care and disability services to enable people to live safely in their homes and enjoy access to the community as they wish. Our work ensures quality of life is enhanced by providing a range of support services that are tailored to meet individual needs and goals to maximise independence.

Cleaner - Permanent Part-time

Our cleaners provide routine general cleaning and home maintenance services to aged care and disability clients. They assist in providing flexible and person cantered support in an individual and respectful way, to ensure our most vulnerable community members remain independent in their own homes. Tasks may include but are not limited to:

Cleaning internal and external windows

outdoor cleaning, such as high-pressure hosing of concrete and clearing gutters

moving furniture, vacuuming and mopping

cleaning ovens, kitchens and bathrooms

changing bed linen and turning mattresses

Installing smoke alarms and replacing alarm batteries

changing tap washer and mixer cartridges

changing light bulbs

installing key safes

tightening towel rails

What you bring:

Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (or ability to obtain)

A National Police Check that is no older than 3 months (or ability to obtain)

Driver's licence and access to a reliable car

First Aid and CPR certificate

Full Covid-19 Vaccination (including 2025 booster) and 2025 Influenza Vaccination
