About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated team in a remote aged care facility in Queensland. This is a fixed-term contract opportunity, ideal for a nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in a rural community setting.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to elderly residents while ensuring their dignity, safety, and well-being. This role offers a rewarding experience, autonomy, and the chance to build strong relationships with residents and their families.

This fixed-term contract position is for a duration of 6-12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide clinical care in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate ongoing clinical needs

Support and supervise care staff to deliver safe and effective care

Liaise with families, GPs, allied health professionals, and external providers

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting

Promote a positive and respectful environment for residents and staff

About You:

Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (essential)

Previous experience in aged care or remote/rural nursing (highly desirable)

Minimum 6 months of aged care experience is required

Sound clinical knowledge and decision-making skills

Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and adapt to a remote environment

Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and current flu vaccination

Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and relevant checks

Valid Australian work rights are accepted for this position
