About the role:
The purpose of this role is to provide advanced clinical leadership and clinical expertise relevant to the speciality of Reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS), including the compliance of infrastructure to support this. This role is key to maintain compliance to AS5369 Standard across CQHHS, including all Central Sterilising Departments (CSDs), endoscopy services, oral health services, cardiac investigations, maternity services and any other areas that use and reprocess reusable medical devices.
About you:
- Certificate III in Sterilisation (from an approved training organisation based on nationally accredited competencies or equivalent).
- Gastroenterological Nurses College of Australasia (GENCA) endoscopy reprocessing training (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements upon commencement).
- Extensive experience working in an Infection Prevention and Control senior nursing role.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention and Control.
- Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements) with the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control.
- Working knowledge of a range of software packages used in the clinical and management environment, including the Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, Matrix and Power Point.
- Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment (from an approved training organisation based on nationally accredited competencies or equivalent).
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
