Lakeview Private Hospital (LPH) is an established multidisciplinary private hospital located at Bella Vista, Sydney. We are looking for a Catering Assistant to on a permanent part time basis with a minimum of 24 hours per week guaranteed.

Hours of work

24 hours per week

Rotating roster, either morning or afternoon shift

Monday to Sunday - 3 shifts per week, more where required

The job can be physically demanding so candidates need to be physically fit and able to lift or move within current WH&S Standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform efficient and effective delivery of food services in a patient-centred care environment as a member of the catering team

Completes a wide range of tasks including basic food preparation, set up and service of patient food trays, service of beverages hot & cold, and assisting in cleaning work areas including dishwashing

Must follow prescribed food safety protocols, which includes safe storage, preparation and service of foods, completing associated food safety documentation and reporting issues to management

CRITERIA

Preferred minimum of 2 years’ experience in a catering role, with experience in Hospital or Aged Care highly regarded

Food preparation and handling experience

Competent in hospitality and customer service

Can work unsupervised at times as well as be part of a team
