Weighbridge Attendant
Roster: 3 Month Initial Casual duration with potential to permanency Monday to Friday 5am to 1.21 pm OR Wednesday to Friday 9.54 am to 6.15 pm (Training hours will differ – Monday to Friday will be 5 – 10 am initially, Wednesday to Friday will be Monday to Friday 9.54 am to 6 pm for the first initial weeks while training in weighbridge operations).

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties:

The Weighbridge Attendant Gatekeeper is responsible for controlling and coordinating waste movement on and off site so that all acceptable waste materials entering or leaving the site are recorded and accounted for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weigh accurately all incoming and outgoing vehicles.
• Direct traffic coming onto site while monitoring all vehicles entering/leaving the site.
• Assist customers with their enquiries and ensure customers receive the highest service standard possible.
• Maintain a professional image of the company and always deliver high quality customer service.
• Maintain the weighbridge and general area of the weighbridge including the office in a clean, tidy and hazard free condition.
• Assist with general administrative duties and customer service, answering the telephone and directing calls as appropriate.
• Operate computerized systems and other work-related systems.
• Produce reports from the weighbridge software as required.
• Complete all records and paperwork accurately, as directed and required.

Skills and Experience

(Essential)

• Current Victorian Driver Licence - Car required
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Possess moderate computer experience and mathematical aptitude
• experience in drive thru customer service setting or retail customer service would be an advantage
• Knowledge of weighbridge operations or experience in the waste industry will be looked upon favourably
