About the role

As an Apprentice Electrician in Elevators at Mapkon, you will join a highly skilled team responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of elevators and escalators across Melbourne. This full-time role offers hands-on training and development to help you build a rewarding career in the electrical trades industry.

What you'll be doing

Assisting qualified electricians with the installation of elevators

Completing a range of electrical and mechanical tasks, including fault diagnosis, wiring, programming and testing

Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Maintaining detailed records of work performed and parts used

Participating in ongoing training to develop your technical and trade skills

What we're looking for

A keen interest in the electrical trades, with a commitment to learning and progressing your skills

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

The ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams and drawings

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

A positive attitude and the willingness to work as part of a team

A current driver's licence
