The opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Shorty's Food Truck cook to join our team at Shortys Burgers Pty Ltd in Kemps Creek NSW 2178. This is a casual position, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for creating delicious, high-quality food. Please do not apply if you do not want to work in a food truck. The job includes catering at different locations every shift. If you do not want to travel do not apply!

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking from our three menus. Either Greek, burgers or our breakfast menu.

Maintaining a clean and organised work station, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times

Assisting with inventory management and ordering of necessary supplies

Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers

Collaborating with the team to improve and expand the menu as needed

Loading and unloading the food truck and travelling from one location to another.

Cleaning the truck weekly as we conduct a deep clean 1-2 times a week excluding daily cleans after each job.

Ensuring that the base location kitchen/storeroom is neat, handled appropriately and maintained.

What we're looking for

Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in the Hospitality & Tourism industry as a Chef/Cook. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE.

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations

Excellent time management and multitasking skills to thrive in a busy environment

A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with others

A passion for creating delicious, high-quality food and providing exceptional customer service

Someone who can drive or travel from location to location.

Available most weekends and throughout the week.
