We are looking for a capable and proactive Electrician for our Water Technology business to collaborate and work with our team out of our Seven Hills facility in Western Sydney.

Reporting to the Plant & Equipment Manager, this role will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and improvement of electrical systems and equipment across our water treatment projects, while also contributing as an all-rounder to support broader project outcomes.

Key accountabilities:

Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of 415V / three-phase electrical systems, switchboards, and associated plant equipment.

Construct, assemble, and modify components for existing and new water treatment projects.

Troubleshoot, fault-find, and carry out diagnostics on electrical and control systems, ensuring rapid resolution of breakdowns.

Undertake preventative maintenance and replacement of critical plant equipment to minimise downtime.

Provide remote and field support for project teams, including commissioning and mobilisation of new installations.

Identify and lead improvements to plant and equipment for efficiency, reliability, and safety gains.

Work collaboratively across disciplines, assisting with non-electrical tasks as required to support project outcomes.

Contribute to team development by sharing expertise, providing guidance, and supporting less experienced staff.

Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in compliance with SciDev’s Quality, Health, and Safety standard.

About You:

Qualified and fully licensed Electrician

Commitment to safety and quality standards

Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with a strong problem-solving mindset

Ability to read and mark up electrical drawings

Variable Speed Drives experience is highly regarded

Exposure to PLC control systems (desirable)

Manual Driver’s Licence (essential)

Ability to work autonomously while demonstrating leadership qualities to guide and support others.

Proactive and adaptable, willing to take initiative and tackle tasks outside of core electrical work when needed.

A genuine team player with a collaborative work style, comfortable working across disciplines and assisting other trades as required.
