The Role

Are you a livewire seeking a new career pathway? TasTAFE are seeking experienced tradies with the dual trade of Electrical and Instrumentation who wish to spark the minds of the next generation of tradespeople.

Based at our Burnie campus, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of students, report writing and most importantly cultivating a positive learning environment.

On any given day, your duties will include:

  • Teaching and inspiring the next generation of tradespeople
  • Managing and co-ordinating teaching & assessment materials & resources
  • Providing advice and information to students, parents and employers
  • Enjoying eleven weeks of leave per year!

What will you bring

  • Electrical Trade Qualification, Instrumentation qualification and current Electrical Licence is essential
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Ability to turn complex concepts into practical, hands-on lessons
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, colleagues and industry stakeholders.

A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
