What you'll do
- Apply high level expertise, written and oral communication skills and negotiation skills to advocate with internal (QH) stakeholders and external stakeholders, including Professional bodies, industry, vendor and other jurisdictions.
- Provide expert direction on the application of best practice, education, leadership, and management to improve patient safety and quality of care outcomes by providing clinical expertise and governance to further digitise cardiovascular informatics solutions delivery in Queensland.
- Provide expert advice and support on any clinical impacts during statewide major ICT incidents in relation to CVIS and associated applications to ensure patient safety risk mitigation, continuity of care and minimal disruption to clinical workflows.
- Lead statewide clinical engagements by providing clinical impact assessments, applying clinical context and risk analysis to the delivery of Cardiovascular service initiatives.
- Actively initiate the development and delivery of enhanced digital systems and processes, collaborating with statewide clinical governance bodies and technical partners by providing strategic advice on advanced clinical design and compliance with clinical and technical standards to inform better insights, focus and healthcare outcomes.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Demonstrated high-level management skills transferrable across the QIISU and OCCIO teams to ensure alignment to strategy, operational plan, clinical knowledge and expertise
- Demonstrated high-level management skills and decision-making processes that minimise risk and optimise resources, service and efficiency.
- Demonstrated advanced specialist knowledge, experience, and clinical skills in one or more clinical informatics specialities.
- Experience in advanced problem-solving and expert clinical judgement in relation to clinical informatics.
- Ability to lead digital quality service improvement initiatives for cardiovascular information systems and processes to improve patient care and outcomes within digital Hospital and Health Services.
