Join the Finance team of one of Australia’s most successful European auto spare parts retailers.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Credit Control Manager to lead our receivables function and support the broader finance team. This is a high-profile role for a professional who excels in team leadership, debt management, customer engagement, and financial reporting with the opportunity to grow further in a dynamic, system driven and high-volume environment.
Following is the immediate scope which may vary from time to time to suit the demands of the position;
Lead, coach, and supervise the Accounts Receivable team to achieve collection and reconciliation targets.
Manage customer relationships and liaise effectively with clients, sales staff, and drivers.
Develop and implement credit control and debt collection strategies, including escalation and legal recovery where necessary.
Deliver accurate weekly receivables reporting and analysis for management.
Oversee account reconciliations, month-end close activities, quarterly reporting, and intercompany transactions.
Supervise customer credits, parts returns, and receipting of payments (cash, EFT, cheques, credit/debit cards).
Manage all online payments received via payment links and e-commerce platforms
Ensure daily reconciliation of receipts and payments collected by the drivers.
Oversee month-end statements, arrears letters, and debt recovery processes.
Host fortnightly credit meetings to review and report on collections performance.
Maintain a strong and up-to-date customer database with clean and up to date records.
Resolve disputes with customers and educate staff, drivers, and customers on proper procedures.
Contribute to wider finance functions including reconciliations, management reporting, financial dashboards, and all types of collections.
Assist in system implementation, integration, validations and testing.
Perform ad-hoc accounting and finance duties as required.
As a member of our professional team, you will possess the following attributes:
Proven experience in credit management with strong team leadership skills
Exposure to system implementations, integrations and customisations to enhance the efficiency of the workflows and Accounts Receivable function
Solid background in reconciliations, including complex balance sheet reconciliations.
CPA/CA qualified (or actively studying towards certification).
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone manner.
Confident handling of conflict resolution and able to perform well under pressure.
Advanced MS Excel skills with good knowledge of Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Office 365.
High attention to detail and accuracy across financial transactions.
Self-motivated, professional, and committed to teamwork.
Prior experience with Odoo ERP system and Pinnacle Pro is highly desirable but not essential.
