Senior PAM Engineer, Ongoing opportunity based in Sydney + hybrid/flexible working options available
The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is looking for a Senior PAM Engineer (Senior Privileged Access Management Engineer) to join our growing team!

This role is pivotal to help mitigate security risks across DCS and its Agencies, whilst contributing to strengthening the security posture within the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, implement and maintain Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions, including integration with enterprise systems and applications.
- Lead the development and enforcement of PAM policies, standards, and best practices.
- Monitor and respond to PAM-related security events, alerts, and incidents.
- Drive automation and orchestration of PAM workflows to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of privileged accounts, access controls, and session activity.
About you:
- Deep expertise in PAM technologies such as BeyondTrust, CyberArk, Delinea, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, OAuth, and other identity protocols.
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to streamline PAM operations.
- A passionate understanding of the cyber security environment and a drive to uplift security effectiveness
- A collaborative team player who can work with technical and non-technical teams to ensure appropriate understanding of process, procedures and requirements.
