About the role

• Undertake clinical assessment, review and care to patients admitted to the Metro North Health Virtual Ward, including patients with COVID-19. This will include the assessment of clinical deterioration, support to acute transfer arrangements and clinical handover.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the Metro North Health Virtual Ward multi-disciplinary team

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Work clinically as directed by the Medical Director Virtual Ward (or delegated Senior doctor within the Virtual Ward) to deliver high quality care to this cohort of patients.
• Perform duties as determined by MNHHS and as directed by the Medical Director Virtual Ward (or delegated Senior doctor within the Virtual Ward) and associated services or as directed by the relevant Director of Medical Services.
• Perform other provisions related to the duties of the Medical Officer as agreed by the parties.
• Implement and support clinical models of care and patient safety initiatives as required.
• Support alternative revenue sources and maximise funding for the delivery of service (where appropriate).
• Participate in an annual performance and development review.
