AUT has more than 26,000 students and over 4,000 staff, primarily based at our three Auckland campuses.
Our Management, Technology and Organisation (MTO) department is part of AUT's forward-thinking Business School. In line with AUT's positioning as a university of opportunity and New Zealand's only university of technology, we care about student success and fully engage in the potential of digital technologies in learning and research. We pride ourselves on the work-integrated learning opportunities offered to students, and our overall reputation for academic excellence and impactful research. AUT's Business School holds two of the most prestigious global business school accreditations: EQUIS and AACSB, attesting to the quality of its programmes. Embracing practice-led and research-informed approaches to teaching, we enhance the student experience by relying on a wide range of expertise, increasingly focusing on cross-disciplinary work.
Our information systems discipline consists of a dynamic team of academics actively engaged in research and passionate about teaching. We have an IS major in an undergraduate programme, a research Master's, and an established PhD programme. Colleagues in the discipline are engaged in research areas related to emerging technologies and the future of work and society, social implications of digital technologies, ethics and digital technologies, cybersecurity, governance, ICT4D, and digital transformation, among others.
