The Field Technician position will play a crucial role in supporting our geology team by contributing to safe and efficient activities while consulting with other departments, mining, and the environment.

About The Role

We are seeking a motivated individual to support geology and drilling operations through a variety of field-based and technical tasks. Responsibilities include conducting field work, assisting with operational drilling activities, and processing samples from various drill types including diamond, RC, blast hole, RAB, aircore, and auger. The role involves coordinating daily activities with mining, environment, and geology teams, managing sample dispatch to laboratories, and ensuring QA/QC standards are met. Additional duties include site preparation and rehabilitation, data entry, mentoring Geology Technicians, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Familiarity with GPS and a willingness to develop technical skills are essential.

The Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Open C class drivers’ license

Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to problem solve.

Confident understanding of current legislation regarding field operations, and their requirements.
