Hotel Venue Manager
The Shamrock Hotel Kyneton is a busy locals venue with quintessential Irish/Australian/British offerings. The freshest food, the coldest beer and outstanding service. The hotel consists of a front public bar, 60 seater bistro, 30 seater private dining room, 100 seater function space plus outdoor eating areas.
The Pub caters for the local residents and tourists visiting Kyneton. It has a typical Pub atmosphere of Footy on the big screens and racing in the back bar. Groups of diners in the bistro and a revolving door of functions.
The Responsibilities of the Venue Manager would be to manage the day to day operations of the Hotel, keeping it consistent with order. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail checking stock, rosters, P & L's, cellar, gas, customer service, training. The candidate will have a love of hospitality with a dynamic personality.
The Successful candidate will directly report to the owner who has had 35 years’ experience in the industry and 10 other successful venues. The Manager will be expected to continue a high level of turnover and implement new ideas to grow the business.
The most attractive benefit with this position is the strong support when running all assets of a Venue. The current staff have been employed within the businesses between 5 -10 years, The support is invaluable. All staff know all areas of the venue and offer relief when necessary. A roster can be discussed in an interview due to flexibility. The role also has an opportunity to gain PR due to an SBS.
This position is for an energetic person with a passion for hospitality. The venue is in need of another leader with a great sense of humour. Expectations are high. However, overall a great place to work.

About the business and the role
We are a Beautiful traditional Pub Venue offering an Ausie Iconic atmosphere. We are looking for a professional person to add their skills and personality to our local Pub. With an already energetic team, we are looking for an extra set of hands with professional skills i.e. cellar skills and TAB skills to ease the load of an extremely busy small venue. The hotel has a local crowd that frequent the hotel on a daily basis. Plus, a restaurant with continual repeat business. We are a family business that offer a personal hospitable service.
Job tasks and responsibilities
This position is a FOH position. We are expecting the successful applicant to be flexible with work hours and are more than flexible ourselves. The applicant must be responsible for the Bar when working and communicate any issues with following staff after the shift. Stock and discrepancies must be reported. The Bar Manager will be responsible for the closure of the Venue 4 nights. The most important part of the job is to have an easy personality with a great sense of humour.
Skills and experience
Due to the nature of the business, this position requires the applicant to be extremely skilled with Cellar duties and Bar knowledge. A minimum of 3 years previous experience in a similar venue. The applicant must have skills on POS systems and PC knowledge.

The Shamrock Hotel serves lunch and dinner 7 days. We have a fantastic group of long-term staff and are looking for someone to take over from our manager who is going to our other venue. This pub has recently been renovated and is a strong business. Operations are in order and we require the right person to step into a long-term role. This business is extremely organised with fabulous systems in place. However, the business is in need of another leader, overseeing every aspect of the FOH operations. We basically need someone who is at the venue full time and knows exactly what is going on at all times. This position is heavily dealing with customers’ needs and the day-to-day events of the Hotel business. We are a local’s venue, down to earth with excellent food and beverage. This position requires a love of people first and foremost. A great personality. Bar experience and cellar experience.

This position requires the candidate to have PUB experience. A pub venue differs greatly from a restaurant or bar. It strongly relies on personality with observation skills. strong work ethic. A friendly disposition.
