We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager with a mechanical background to lead nightshift operations on a 10 week project in Outer Harbour with a global engineering company.

The role will begin with 2 weeks on day shift before transitioning to night shift for the remainder of the project. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering a critical installation in a fast-paced construction environment.

The Role

As Site Manager – Nightshift, you’ll take ownership of onsite activities, managing contract labour, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to scope. A mechanical trade background or engineering knowledge is essential, as well as strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage site activities and oversee contract labour during nightshift operations.

Understand the full scope of works and drive project execution.

Ensure work is completed in line with the construction schedule and installation manuals.

Support subcontractors with required technical or logistical information.

Lead and uphold safety systems and permit-to-work processes.

Collaborate with clients and be a key point of contact during shift hours.

Think on your feet, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities.

Follow directions and procedures to support the mechanical installation.

What We're Looking For:

Mechanical trade qualification or engineering background.

Proven supervisory experience in construction or mechanical projects.

Strong understanding of construction schedules and safety systems.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Ability to work night shifts and lead a team in high-pressure environments.

Approachable, hands-on, and solutions-focused mindset.

Position Details:

Contract: 10 weeks

Begins with 2 weeks day shift, then transitions to night shift

Shifts: 10–12 hours per day

Rate: $80–$100 per hour
