To support our goals and values, we are seeking an amazing person in a brand new role as a Child Care Compliance Officer.
This person will help to complement our team and help to play a vital role in ensuring our services continue to meet – and exceed – the highest standards of quality and compliance now and into the future.
About the Role
As our Compliance Officer, you will:
· Conduct planned and unplanned compliance visits across multiple centres.
· Assess practices and environments against the:
o Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010
o Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011
o National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)
· Develop and write clear, concise, and detailed compliance reports with practical recommendations for improvement.
· Provide feedback and guidance to Centre Directors and Educators, supporting them in achieving and sustaining best practice.
· Support services to Exceed National Standards
· Review and interpret policies, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and service standards when updated.
· Apply strong investigative skills to identify risks, resolve concerns, and support continuous improvement.
· Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, governance, and risk management.
Reporting to the Jenny’s ELC CEO, this role is based in Bendigo and will require regular travel across our regional centres. A work vehicle will be provided for travel.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
· Experienced in the early childhood education and care sector, with an excellent working knowledge of the National Law, National Regulations, and the NQF/NQS.
· Skilled at writing and presenting compliance reports with clarity and accuracy.
· Confident in policy review, auditing, and investigative work, with a sharp eye for detail.
· Approachable and collaborative, with the ability to build trust and provide supportive feedback.
· Highly organised, proactive, and passionate about achieving the best outcomes for children and families.
· Able to work independently
Qualifications & Experience
· A minimum Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification).
· Strong knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 (Vic) and National Regulations.
· Experience in compliance, auditing, quality assurance, or regulatory roles (desirable).
· Experience working within the Early Childhood Sector
· Current driver’s licence (essential).
