St John of God Langmore Centre is a newly refurbished 60-bed private mental health hospital in Berwick providing a supportive, respectful and relaxed environment that promotes wellbeing and recovery. Our multidisciplinary team provide expert psychiatric care and treatment for conditions including depression, mood disorders, anxiety and psychosis through programs tailored to meet your patient's individual needs, including inpatient and day programs.
Your role
In this role, you will be a Mental Health Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Registered Psychologist, who works alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence-based clinical services to clients/patients.
You will provide individual and group therapy to patients in both inpatient and day program setting, utilising a range of evidence based treatment modality, e.g: CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR and schema therapy.

The Position
- Facilitate therapy groups independently while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to promote safe and excellent care to patients within the service.
- Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring client progress adjusting treatment accordingly
- Develop and maintain effective discharge planning for patients to ensure smooth transition between inpatient and outpatient services.
- Liaise with other SJOG services or other relevant external services to support smooth transition between inpatient and outpatient
- Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to patients, visitors and staff.
- Maintains confidentiality and an appropriate professional relationship with staff and patients.
- Contributes to the design and implementation of programs relevant to the needs of clients and current clinical practice.
- Provide expert secondary consultation to team members, leveraging their professional training and expertise.
- Undertake additional tasks aligned with their professional training as directed by the manager
You will have demonstrated experience in mental health, providing evidenced based treatment, including ACT, CBT, DBT, EMDR or Schema Therapy and experience in providing evidenced based treatment.
To succeed you with possess a tertiary qualification in Social Work (ideally with mental health accreditation), Occupational Therapy or Psychology and hold registration with the relevant professional body (AASW - eligible or general AHPRA).

We will offer you
- Salary Registered Psychologist: $95,926 to $110,468 (pro rata for part-time basis) plus 12% Superannuation.
- Salary Occupational Therapist & Social Worker (grade 2): $95,432 to $114,129 (pro rata for part time basis) plus 12% Superannuation.
