An major Financial institution is looking for a skilled Frontend Engineer to help deliver modern, user-focused digital experiences to millions of customers. This 12-month contract role is based in Sydney, with preference for attendance in the paramatta office offers flexible hybrid working, with the chance to work on high-impact features in a modern tech stack.

About the Role

You'll join a cross-functional agile team to build and enhance responsive, accessible, and secure web applications.

Develop responsive frontends using React, TypeScript and modern frameworks

Integrate with GraphQL APIs and backend microservices

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

Work closely with UX designers and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences

Contribute to design discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews

Maintain high standards for accessibility, performance, and security

About You

We're seeking a frontend specialist who thrives in fast-paced, agile environments and cares deeply about user experience and code quality.

Strong commercial experience in React and TypeScript

Proficient with GraphQL, REST APIs and frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)

Experience working in enterprise or financial services environments is a plus

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile delivery methodologies

Understanding of accessibility, performance optimisation, and secure coding practices

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teams

• Fullstack capabilities with Java on the backend is preferential
  
  
• Must have full Australian working rights, and be on-shore in Australia.
