Dans Plants is a well-established and thriving nursery located in the heart of Heatherton, Victoria, Australia. Being the most automated nursery in the country, we take pride in offering a wide variety of plants and decorative pots to our valued customers.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Grower to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the management of plant health and production outcomes, overseeing key growing areas and working closely with the sales and management teams to maintain high standards across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and oversee growing schedules for various plant lines

Develop and implement plant care strategies, including watering, fertilising, irrigation and pest control

Monitor and maintain optimal growing conditions, including temperature, humidity, and light levels using Priva, Compass or another similar program

Troubleshoot and address plant health issues promptly

Stay updated on the latest horticultural techniques and trends

Maintain accurate records of crop performance, treatments, and inputs

Report on KPIs such as stock readiness, loss rates, and crop cycles

Contribute to production planning with the nursery manager or owner

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Horticulture or Production Nursery (or equivalent), along with over 5 years industry experience

Excellent knowledge of plant biology and growth requirements

Excellent problem-solving abilities

Attention to detail and a passion for precision

Effective communication and collaboration skills
