About the team
Government Shared Services (GSS) is a new division in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and delivering their services.

We are developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to more than 100+ agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments.

Join a dynamic team that plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, resilience, and performance of GovConnect's ICT and BPO services. The team coordinates audits and compliance and oversee risk frameworks that support secure and high-quality service delivery.

The team supports:

  • Internal and external audits: Including ISO standards, ISMS, Audit Office, CISO
  • Attestations: ASAE 3402 attestations and deliverables for BPO services,
  • Risk Management: CIO-led operational and service continuity risks and maintain ISMS-aligned risk controls to safeguard ICT operations.

What you will do

  • Coordinate and monitor audit and risk activities to ensure timely completion of reviews, compliance actions, and follow-up on findings in line with agreed obligations.
  • Engage with stakeholders and provide expert advice to ensure they understand their responsibilities and contribute to achieving the required outcomes on time.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes that enhance the effectiveness and quality of risk, compliance, and reporting functions.
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of policies and standards to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of compliance and risk management practices within ICT.

About You

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in:

  • Previous experience with technology teams managing ICT Risks and contributing to the completion of Audit outcomes
  • Experience managing diverse stakeholder groups and coordinating input into responses and delivery plans
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in collaborating with internal and external audit teams to support the delivery of programs of work
