The Graduate School of Motoring is seeking a dedicated Driver Trainer to join our team in Townsville, QLD. As a Driver Trainer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality driver training and assessment services to aspiring and existing drivers. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of safe and confident drivers within our local community.

What you'll be doing

Delivering comprehensive driver training programs, including theory lessons and practical on-road instruction

Conducting driver assessments and providing detailed feedback to help students improve their skills

Maintaining detailed records of student progress and assessment results

Staying up-to-date with changes in traffic laws, regulations, and best driving practices

Collaborating with the broader team to continuously improve the quality of our driver training services

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a qualified driving instructor or driver trainer, with a strong understanding of road rules and safe driving techniques or a desire to obtain the relevant qualifications required to become a qualified driver trainer.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively instruct and provide constructive feedback to students

A patient, empathetic, and encouraging teaching style to help students of all abilities and backgrounds feel supported

Strong organisational and record-keeping skills to maintain accurate student records

A current driver's licence and a clean driving history

Relevant qualifications in driver training or a related field would be highly desirable
