We require a Full Time linehaul driver to run interstate out of Sydney to Melbourne in Brand new PBS 30m B-Doubles.

This is a permanent role in a new contract

Set Roster, Tuesday-Saturday

Day Time Running.

Start and finish at Gregory Hills

B-Double (PBS Super double)

Hauling express parcels/mail for a major customer

2 Directs + 1 changeover per week

Brand new custom built trailers with wing gates (no strapping)

Above award rates

Weekly pays with all benefits

BFM required or willing to obtain via our trainer

Minimum 2 years B-double experience

Ability to secure loads and move curtains

Be Customer focused and work in with their staff and site procedures

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION - PLEASE READ!!

Hi all,

This job has become available again, The person who was engaged in the role has been a good operator for the short time he has been here, but could not get used to the hours.

To not waste my time and yours, here is a clear description of the job duties.

Truck and Trailers are parked in Smeaton Grange over the weekend. Prime mover is parked at Smeaton grange overnight when you are in Sydney, unless you wish to stay on the truck for the whole week, in which you can sleep in it at BP Eastern Creek nearby to the Aus Post Depot.

Role is Full Time, Tuesday-Saturday.

Tuesday: Pickup combination from Smeaton Grange and travel 30 minutes to Aus Post Kemps Creek Depot for a 3.30AM time slot. Split trailers in yard, Tug will put "B" on dock, you put "A" on dock. Proceed to open curtains and move wing gates. Forklifts load trailers. When finished, close gates and curtains, hook combination up and depart at 5.00AM. Then travel to Aus Post in Sunshine West, Victoria in a reasonable time. Normally onsite around 2.30PM. Park trailers where directed, split A from B, open curtains and gates and depart bobtail for rest.

Wednesday: Arrive at Aus Post Sunshine at 4.30AM, locate trailers and supervise final stages of loading while closing gates and curtains. Hook up to combination and depart at 5.00AM. Head to Post Kemps Creek, split trailers, TUG will put "B" on dock and you put "A" on dock. open curtains and gates, supervise unload and then close trailers up. TUG will move "B" to parking space onsite, you are to move "A" to parking space onsite. Then proceed to bobtail the prime mover back to Smeaton Grange yard, park up and go home. (If you want to stay in the truck for the week, you are welcome to take it to BP Eastern Creek and rest there.

Thursday: Repeat of Tuesday, only trailers will be parked onsite at Post, not Smeaton Grange.

Friday: Repeat of Wednesday.

Saturday: Loading process is the same as any other day at Kemps creek with departure at 5.00AM. Then proceed to Tarcutta for a change over. Once changed over, return to Aus Post Chullora depot for unloading. Once unloaded, return truck and trailers to our Gregory Hills yard, parking them up for the weekend.

This is not a terribly hard job, but you have to put the hours in. If you can't handle 12-14 hour days, it's not the job for you.

If you can't handle a European truck, this is not the job for you. All of our trucks are European, all of our trucks are Automatic.
