We’re looking for a young female support worker to assist a gentleman in Northgate with his regular Wednesday afternoon routine.

This is a meaningful shift that involves community access, family connection, and social engagement.

About the Role

Shift Time: Wednesdays, 12:45 PM – 4:45 PM

Location: Northgate, QLD

Duties Include:

Picking the client up from work

Collecting his daughter

Supporting them with shopping or other community activities

Returning them home safely

This time is especially important to the client, as it allows him to spend quality time with his daughter. He’s looking for someone who is easygoing, patient, and communicates clearly without rushing or talking over him.

About You

Female support worker, ideally similar in age to the client’s daughter

Calm, respectful, and attentive communicator

Reliable and confident with transport and community access

Holds a valid driver’s licence and has access to a safe, insured vehicle

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card

QSSS hourly rates are Weekday $35.66, Evening $38.30, Night $39.33, Saturday $48.65, Sunday $62.62, Public Holidays $76.38 -(sorry, rate not negotiable).

We also support our staff through our EAP service which offers 4 x free counselling sessions where required, as well as discounted physiotherapy sessions at select physio practices while also having the assurance of consistency of Clients you support. You have a comprehensive suite of online learning to support you and face to face learnings.

To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered

Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist

Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Client’s needs

Provide support to our Clients as required

Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner

Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required

Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients

To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be successful you must:

Resonate with the role description above

Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives

Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia

Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card

Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
