Civil Engineer

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking for flexibility and impactful work across diverse infrastructure projects? Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer on a rolling contract basis to join a high-performing team and contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of key public and private sector projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and manage infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, utilities, site development, and public works
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
• Review and approve engineering drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, and reports
• Ensure full compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., AASHTO, ASCE, ASTM), environmental regulations, and safety requirements
• Oversee the preparation of contract documents, bid packages, and provide construction administration support
• Conduct field inspections, site visits, and engineering assessments as required
• Manage project budgets, timelines, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies
• Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations for clients, permitting agencies, and public meetings
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes
• Maintain accurate and thorough project documentation
• Conduct and review quality assurance (QA) submissions

About You:

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure or civil engineering projects
• Strong working knowledge of civil engineering standards, codes, and regulations
• Proficient in project management tools and engineering design software
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) desirable
