Location: Parramatta
Employment Type: Temporary, full time (up to 6 months), with potential for extension
Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12- $ $149,739 - $173,174pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
Drive Cybersecurity Assurance at Scale
We're looking for an experienced governance and compliance professional to lead a critical body of work within DCJ's Information and Digital Services division. This role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver outcomes that directly support NSW's cyber security resilience and compliance obligations.
You'll play a pivotal role in supporting DCJ's annual Cyber Security Attestation and new Agency Tactical Obligations for reporting to Cyber NSW, while coordinating the department's participation in the Assurance Framework Pilot.
Your role
As Manager, Governance and Compliance, you will:
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of cyber security governance frameworks, policies, and assurance activities.
- Identify compliance gaps and collect evidence to demonstrate alignment with the NSW Cyber Security Policy.
- Coordinate activities to meet key deadlines set by Cyber NSW.
- Act as the primary DCJ liaison with Cyber NSW during the Assurance Framework Pilot (Oct 2025 - Feb 2026).
- Provide strategic advice, progress updates and escalate risks to senior leadership.
- Engage with technical and business teams to gather evidence and drive action.
- Prepare high-level reports, briefs and recommendations to inform decision-making.
What we're looking for
We want to hear from applicants who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience in cyber security, risk, compliance, or governance roles.
- Strong project management skills and ability to deliver results in complex environments.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive stakeholder relationships and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience preparing strategic reports, briefs, and advice.
- Tertiary qualifications in cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
