About the role

As an Immigration Lawyer, you will work closely with our Sydney and overseas teams to provide legal advice and manage a diverse caseload. Duties will include:

Designing, developing and implementing innovative migration pathways.

Reviewing, preparing, and submitting visa applications and legal submissions.

Conducting consultations and providing strategic advice on visa options.

Managing complex cases, including National Innovation Visa (NIV) and employer-sponsored visas.

Preparing detailed submissions for complex matters such as genuine position or AAT appeals.

Representing clients in appeals and liaising with the Department of Home Affairs.

Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and clients.

Mentoring junior consultants and contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Ensuring compliance and contributing to quality assurance (QA/QC) standards.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.

Admission as an Australian Legal Practitioner with a valid practising certificate.

At least 2 years experience in migration law (applications, submissions, appeals).

Strong knowledge of the Migration Act, Regulations, and policy framework.

Advanced legal drafting, research, and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients.

Client-focused, proactive, with high attention to detail.

A motivated team player who is reliable, approachable, and professional.

Mandarin language skills highly regarded (not essential).
