BM Engineering Surveys (BMES) is a Pilbara-based company specialising in engineering surveying for the iron ore industry. With a proven track record across major civil, SMP, and shutdown projects, we've built our reputation as a trusted partner to some of the biggest names in mining.

As we move through the second half of 2025 and with a strong pipeline of projects leading into 2026, BMES are expanding our team with multiple FIFO Surveyor positions available ex-Perth (flights from other capital cities negotiable) and opportunities for Karratha residential surveyors.

Roles for Karratha residential & FIFO workers on family friendly 2/2 or 2/1 rosters and Shut Rosters.

About You

We're looking for surveyors who are passionate about their craft and ready to thrive in a fast-paced project environment. Ideally, you will have:

Minimum 1-2 years of surveying experience is required for this position.

Essential requirement for mining or iron ore industry experience to be considered for this role.

Formal qualification in surveying (Minimum Diploma)

Proficiency with Leica instruments

12d experience (preferred)

Advanced proficiency in 12d software is required

UAV skills (desirable but not essential)

Current Australian driver's licence

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Full Australian working rights

What you will be doing

You'll gain exposure across a wide range of surveying works, including:

Civil construction & bulk earthworks

SMP & conveyor alignment surveys

Fixed plant shutdowns

Machine control set-up and support

3D laser scanning & data capture

Data management, reporting, and as-builts
