Due to sustained growth and demand for the firm's services, Paxon is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing Private Client Services Division within its Perth office.

The firm will consider both full-time and part-time candidates interested in the role, we also offer flexible working arrangements to cater for personal circumstances.

Paxon actively supports career progression and the ideal candidate will be given the opportunity to develop to a Manager level. Paxon will also assist the successful candidate with any professional education qualifications in reaching CPA or CA status.

The role will involve the following:

Preparation of financial statements

Preparation income tax returns for all entity types

Sound understanding of all facets of tax legislation

Interpretation of business trends

Analytical review of financial performance of client affairs utilising the latest software

Direct contact with clients and development of client relationships

Client base relates to high net wealth individuals, listed entities, non-for profit and large family groups.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

Strong background in Public Practice Accounting

Strong ability to provide analytical review of client businesses

Sound understanding of cash flows, business reporting and business profitability

Excellent understanding of accounting packages, particularly MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks

Strong communication skills to respond to client queries and requests

Excellent written skills for corresponding with clients

High level of expertise in Microsoft office related products

Ability to work autonomously.

A minimum of 5 years public practice accounting experience

Degree qualified in a related field

CPA or CA certification is preferred or currently undertaking the certification would be highly regarded, but is not essential
