Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist Psychiatry (General Adult, Child & Youth, Rural & Remote, ATODS or Perinatal) Full-time and part-time available.

The Hospital
Join a dynamic and diverse team of over 30 permanent local psychiatrists and 40 registrars in training, working across all psychiatric sub-specialties. A state-of-the-art 53-bed dedicated to Mental Health Inpatient Services, officially opened in February 2025, offering cutting-edge care and support.
Exciting developments are underway, including the upcoming launch of a youth residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre. In addition, planning is in progress for two new specialised units: an adolescent mental health inpatient unit and a mother and baby unit—each designed to meet the evolving needs of our community.

The Requirements

Specialist registration with AHPRA as a FRANZCP, and RANZCP trainees who are six months away from obtaining fellowship are also welcome to apply.

International Medical Graduates from NZ, UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, South Africa, and Hong Kong who have been specialists for at least one to two years are also invited to apply.
