School Readiness Team - Psychologist

Employment Type: Part Time 0.6 FTE - Parental Leave Cover
Location: South Melbourne and Parkdale (with flexibility to work across multiple sites as required)
Classification: Psychologist (Grade 2)

We are looking for a Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary paediatric team. This role focuses on delivering the School Readiness Funding (SRF) program, funded by the Department of Education, designed to empower kindergarten educators and parents in promoting children’s learning, development, and successful transitions to school.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and facilitating capacity-building sessions for kindergarten educators and parents, focusing on communication, social-emotional well-being, and inclusion.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop resources and deliver tailored sessions.
• Building strong relationships with kindergartens and stakeholders across Port Phillip, Stonnington, Bayside, Kingston, and Glen Eira.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to program development and review.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology.
• Current registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., AHPRA, Speech Pathology Australia)

Key Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of child development and evidence-based practices.
• Proven experience in early childhood intervention or family support.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
• A valid driver license is essential - fleet cars available
