Are you passionate about animal welfare and looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact? RSPCA SA is seeking experienced animal behaviour professionals to join our dedicated team to help improve animal welfare.

Two roles are available:

Full time, permanent

Full-time, six-month contract

This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to bring their animal behaviour expertise to an organisation that truly makes a difference.

What you will do:

Undertake behaviour modification with animals in care, and provide one-on-one support

Work in partnership with animal care teams to develop and implement behaviour and enrichment programs

Provide expert behavioural advice to adopters and foster carers via phone and in-person consultations

Prepare presentations and educational handouts on animal behaviour

Deliver animal behaviour training and education programs to RSPCA SA staff, volunteers and the public

What you will bring:

Qualifications in animal behaviour

Two or more years demonstrated experience in an animal behaviour role

Experience working with cats and dogs

Experience working with and handling animals with challenging behaviours

A passion for animal welfare and a dedication to making a difference in the lives of animals and the people who care for them

Excellent communication and decision-making abilities, and the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Ability to work over a seven-day roster, including weekends
