We are currently looking for experienced Kitchenhands to work within the main kitchen and serving areas of an Aged Care facility within Dubbo.

Shifts are available for either 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 7pm, with shifts available on a rostered basis covering Monday through to Sunday.

The kitchen environments are very busy so you must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure. You will also be involved with serving meals to residents and cleaning of their dining areas - a friendly, patient and understanding nature for dealing with the elderly will be essential.

Applicants should currently hold a food hygiene certificate and be willing to complete a National Police Check.

Duties will include:

Greeting residents and offering them beverages

Follow dietary sheets to serve residents the correct meal

Preparing meal trays and delivering to the residents' rooms

Assisting with basic general food preparation

Making tea, coffee and cold beverages

Heating food to the appropriate temperature before serving

Cleaning and maintaining a tidy kitchen

Set up / pack away dining areas

Wash and dry all dishes, polish cutlery and store correctly

Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene

To be successful you will need:

at least 6 months experience working within a kitchen.

confidence to work on your own at times.

to be able to provide two recent work referees.

Hold a current criminal / police clearance or be willing to obtain one immediately.

Flexibility to work various shifts / days will be ideal, however we are also interested in speaking with applicants with limited availability for weekends only, afternoon or day only etc.
