THE JOB

We are looking for an experienced Die-cutting Operator responsible for operating our Heidelberg Cylinder and Iberica machinery to join our team. If you’re capable, experienced, and ready to hit the ground running, we want to meet you. You will be given a high degree of independence and responsibility in the set up and operation of print-finishing products to high-quality standards and specifications.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a self-motivated and organised person to join our print finishing team working 37.5 hours per week with overtime opportunities available. You will need to have experience within the print finishing and packaging industry. This is a fast-paced production environment, so you must be an adaptable and focused person to keep up with the workload. There is also a large amount of lifting required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for setting up and operating die-cutting machinery; specifically Heidelberg Cylinder and Iberica machines to cut and crease printed sheets

Select and install cutting die in machinery, according to specifications

Inspect and examine printed products for accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects

Inspect quality of each load run; responsible for checking random sheets from each cut load to ensure quality

Monitor and control the operation of auxiliary equipment to assemble and finish products

Pack and label cartons, boxes, or pallets of finished products

YOU SHOULD HAVE

3-5 years of die-cutting production experience within the print and packaging industry;

Proven experience and a good understanding of print finishing machinery in a manufacturing environment;

Strong attention to detail, being able to solve problems and make decisions;

Mechanical knowledge of machines
