ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking experienced Road Labourers to join their team. 6:30am - 4pm Monday - Friday at the Wilberforce depot. 9 day fortnight (every 2nd Friday off)

DUTIES:

• Repair potholes and maintaining roads
• Assisting with safety fencing and guard rails
• Triming trees and shurbs around roads
• General labouring duties
• Road maintenance and patching, heavy patching and erection of guideposts, signs, guard rails and safety fencing.
• Concrete works - prepare formwork, pour, finish, strip and backfill.
• Drains construction - prepare bedding, lay, grout, backfill pipes and construct pits.
• Drains maintenance - clear pipe inlets/outlets and clean pits.
• Carry out sight clearing (scrub cutting).
• Traffic co-ordination and control at sites.
• Complete timesheets and other basic documentation as required.
• Operate minor plant, i.e. chainsaw, jackhammer, plate compactor, concrete saw, ride-on mower, small roller.
• Hand excavation as required i.e. footpath repairs, removal of tree root

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in a similar role high regarded but not essential
• MR Licence
• WHS White Card
• Physically fit
• Able to pass a criminal check
