About the role

Rainesy's Maintenance Services is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. 7 on 7 off lifestyle roster, this is a casual position, offering the flexibility to manage your own schedule while contributing to the vital maintenance and repair work, we provide to our clients. As a Boilermaker, you will play a crucial role in fabricating, installing, and maintaining mining equipment and other metal structures.

What you'll be doing

Read and interpret drawings, and specifications to fabricate and assemble metal components

Operate cutting, welding, and other metalworking equipment to shape and join metal parts

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mining equipment and related equipment

Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective project completion

Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards to deliver high-quality work

What we're looking for

Qualified Boilermaker with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role

Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings

Excellent welding and metalworking skills, with the ability to work with a variety of materials

Familiarity with mining maintenance procedures and safety protocols

Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Commitment to delivering high-quality work and maintaining a safe work environment
