Driver / Merchandiser – Immediate Start (Oakford)

We are currently seeking a reliable, motivated and customer-focused Driver / Merchandiser to join our team in Oakford. This is a full-time role (38+ hours per week) with an immediate start available.

About the Role

As a Driver / Merchandiser, you will be completing multi-drop deliveries using a tail-lift truck, physically moving trolleys of plants into customer locations and ensuring products are merchandised to a high standard. This is a hands-on role involving manual handling, stock set-up, and in-store presentation, not just driving.

The position requires early starts (6:00am), long days, and the ability to work independently while representing Hope Valley Nursery in retail stores and with wholesale clients.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate company trucks (MR or HR licence required) for multi-drop deliveries.

Operate tail-lift trucks and handle plant trolleys at delivery sites.

Load, unload, and physically deliver plants into customer stores.

Merchandise, rotate, and maintain plant displays in retail locations.

Ensure deliveries are completed on time and stock meets quality standards.

Provide excellent customer service, addressing client enquiries or concerns.

Assist with general yard and nursery maintenance to ensure a safe, tidy work environment.

Follow delivery schedules, safety protocols, and reporting procedures.

Skills & Experience

Current MR or HR truck licence.

Previous multi-drop driving and manual delivery experience highly desirable.

Experience in nursery, horticulture, or retail merchandising an advantage.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Physically fit and capable of lifting, pushing, and moving plant trolleys.

Reliable, punctual, and positive with a strong work ethic.

Ability to work flexible hours, including early starts.
