Position Overview:
The Clinical Coordinator - Trauma Recovery Program holds responsibility for the planning, organisation, integration, co-ordination and the delivery of the Trauma Recovery Program. This includes the leadership of a small team of staff working in the hospital’s Trauma Recovery Teams.
In this role, you will:
Deliver individual and group psychotherapy sessions.
Conduct discipline-specific assessments.
Coordinate patient care and contribute to recovery plans.
Work collaboratively with patients, their families, and the broader care team to support a holistic approach to mental health care.
This position offers flexible hours, and we are open to, Full-time | Part-time arrangements. To be eligible, you must be a Registered Psychologist, Mental Health Accredited Social Worker or a Mental Health Accredited Occupational Therapist.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating the effective and safe delivery of the Trauma Recovery Program in-line with evidence-based and trauma informed practices, including the review of content, management of waiting lists, program resourcing and workflows.
Complete CAPS Assessments for eligible program participants
Individual therapy with a number of participants using Trauma focused CBT, EMDR or Cognitive Processing Therapy techniques
Provide clinical lead and specialist skills and knowledge in the area of trauma and trauma informed care.
Work alongside Allied Health Manager to ensure ongoing support and development of the allied health team and progression of strategic projects relating to the Trauma Recovery Programs across the hospital.
Provide support to the Allied Health Manager via quality improvement projects as directed by the Allied Health Manager
What You’ll Bring:
A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (with full AHPRA registration), or a Bachelor degree in either Occupational Therapy or Social Work with mental health accreditation, showcasing your professional foundation and commitment to best practices.
Proven experience in mental health settings, with a comprehensive understanding of various treatment modalities to support patient-centred care.
Proven experience working with patients who have experienced trauma.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills, enabling you to handle complex situations with clarity and efficiency.
A strong ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, contributing positively to team dynamics and patient outcomes.
