About the role

Superformance has been a market leader for over 42 years in the aftermarket automotive industry specializing in Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Street Machines and Pickup Trucks. We are seeking a talented Custom Car Bodywork Technician / Panel Beater to join our team in Capalaba. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring and customising bodywork on street cars, muscle cars & pick up trucks to deliver custom built vehicles. As a key member of our workshop, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail that our customers have come to expect.

What we're looking for

Trade qualified panel beater, with a minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in the automotive industry

Comprehensive knowledge of automotive bodywork repair techniques

Proven experience as a skilled body work technician specializing in a variety of panel repair, metal finishing, rust repairs, custom fabrication, and body alignment techniques

Proficiency in using a wide range of specialist tools and equipment for bodywork restoration

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to achieving the highest standards of workmanship

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address complex bodywork challenges

A passion for hot rods, muscle cars and pick up trucks is preferred

Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients

What you'll be doing

Performing expert panel beating, dent removal, and bodywork repairs on a wide range of hot rods, muscle cars and pickup trucks

Carrying out custom modifications and enhancements to clients' vehicles to meet their unique specifications

Utilising advanced techniques and equipment to achieve a flawless finish on all bodywork

Various paint works including but not limited to; epoxy primer sealer, hi-build primer applicating and polyester primers

Opportunities in fabricating and shaping of body panels, rust repairs, tig welding and mig welding, hammer work both manually and with large mechanical hammers, file finishing of works / welds

Maintaining all specialty equipment used throughout jobs

Collaborating closely with the wider team to ensure a seamless and efficient restoration process

Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop environment
