Panel Beater – Full Time

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater to join our team at Mt Evelyn Smash Repairs in Mount Evelyn. This is a full-time role where you will play a vital part in restoring vehicles to their original condition following accidents or damage.

With over 30 years of industry experience behind us, our newly established workshop in Mount Evelyn is committed to delivering quality repairs and excellent customer service to the local community.

What you’ll be doing

• Assessing damaged vehicles and preparing repair plans

• Removing and replacing damaged panels using specialist tools and equipment

• Carrying out metal straightening, filling, and smoothing to restore vehicle shape

• Preparing surfaces for painting and ensuring a high-quality finish

• Liaising with customers and insurers to provide updates on repairs

• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment

• Ensuring all repairs meet industry standards and regulations

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a qualified Panel Beater (minimum 3 years in the automotive industry)

• Strong technical skills in panel beating, metal shaping, and accident repairs

• Attention to detail with a high level of workmanship

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Good communication skills with customers and colleagues

• Knowledge of current industry safety standards and repair practices

• Trade qualifications in panel beating or related automotive repair are highly desirable
