We’re on the lookout for a motivated and hands-on 2IC Production / Machine Operator to join our food manufacturing team! This is a blended role that combines the technical skills of a Machine Operator with the leadership support of a Team Leader - perfect for someone looking to step up and take on more responsibility while still being on the tools.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Work across a 3-week rotating shift pattern:

Week 1: 7:30 am – 4:15 pm

Week 2: 3:50 pm – 12:00 am (15% Loading)

Week 3: 11:50 pm – 8:00 am (20% Loading)

Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure smooth, safe and efficient output.

Support the Team Leader with daily coordination of production activities.

Act as the go-to backup when Team Leaders are away or need assistance.

Lead by example on the floor, driving performance, safety, and quality standards.

Troubleshoot and escalate production or equipment issues as needed.

Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to HAACP & WHS standards.

Assist with training and mentoring new operators.

What We’re Looking For:

Someone with machine operating experience in a food manufacturing environment – leadership experience is a big plus.

A natural leader – someone who’s confident stepping up and supporting the team.

Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.

Reliable, punctual and committed to quality output.

Understanding of safety, quality control, daily production targets & HAACP guidelines.

Experience in a Team Leader or 2IC capacity will be highly regarded.

Additional Requirements:

Proof of Right to Work in Australia (e.g., Australian Birth Certificate, Passport, or Permanent Residency Visa)

Successful applicants will be required to complete a Federal Police Check and Medical Test

Completion of Programmed Induction Documents is required prior to client interview
