Paediatric Speech Pathologist – Burleigh Heads – Multiple Positions

Burleigh Heads (Gold Coast) | $85K–$130K+ incl. super | Unlimited CPD | Flexible Hours

Let’s skip straight to the important part:

Our team is growing, and we’re offering career pathways for graduates through to highly experienced Speech Pathologists – in a way that’s supportive, collaborative, and rewarding.

Hi, I’m Bec, Co-founder and Managing Director of Progress Pathways.
Over the past 3.5 years, our small but mighty team of 12 therapists has built three thriving practices across Kedron, North Lakes, and Burleigh Heads.

We’re lifelong learners, dedicated to helping families achieve meaningful progress while working together to provide best-practice care. Now, we’re excited to welcome 1-2 Speech Pathologists to our Burleigh Heads team.

Before you dive into the details:

2025 Graduates – Congratulations on (almost) completing your degree! Applications for our 2026 Graduate Program are now open.

Current Speech Pathologists – We know end-of-year transitions can be tricky. Ask about our Christmas continuity pay sign-on bonus to help make it easier.

Who We’re Looking For

This role will suit a Speech Pathologist who:

is interested in developing cutting-edge skills in video interaction intervention to enhance child communication outcomes,

wants to specialise in supporting children under 12, providing comprehensive care that extends to their families, and

enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team of paediatric allied health professionals, leveraging collaboration to deliver optimal care.

We welcome applications from:

Graduates – ready to start in our January 2026 cohort.

Mid-career to Experienced Speech Pathologists – comfortable supporting children aged 2-4 years.

Parents returning to work – seeking a flexible, family-friendly role.

Why Join Progress Pathways?

Competitive salary – $85,000–$130,000+ pa (incl. super), based on experience and caseload preferences, plus a laptop and travel allowance.

Flexible work design – like choosing a 4-day week, 9-day fortnight, or flexible hours. Work primarily from our well-equipped clinic, with opportunities for school and kindy visits.

Up to 5 weeks of annual leave – earn bonus leave from your first 6 months (100% of our team did last year).

Diverse caseload with autonomy – work with children aged 0–12 and tailor your caseload to your strengths and interests.

Career progression – we promote from within, offering opportunities for leadership, supervision, and clinical mastery.

Unlimited CPD – pursue the training that excites you and gain industry-leading support to build new skills.

Strong clinical support – scheduled 1:1 and group supervision, multi-disciplinary team meetings, regular check-ins, and a comprehensive resource library.

Work-life balance – we keep work within work hours (including a strict “no laptops on the lunch table” rule) and refine our systems to make workloads sustainable.

Beautiful, welcoming clinic – spacious and well-resourced.

Our Story

Founded in 2022, Progress Pathways has always had two goals:

Give kids more opportunities to thrive.

Be the best workplace for allied health professionals.

We’ve grown into a collaborative, values-driven team and are always evolving – from refining session structures to integrating tools like AI to reduce admin load – so our team can focus on what matters most: delivering quality care.

Our Burleigh Heads practice opened in August 2024 and has grown into a multidisciplinary team of two OTs and two SPs, proudly supporting families across the southern Gold Coast through the strong local network we’ve built.

About the Role

We’re seeking 1-2 Speech Pathologists to join our Burleigh Heads team, supporting children under 12 years.

Your work will include:

understanding each family’s needs,

conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments,

implementing tailored therapy plans, including video interaction interventions to empower families, and

building strong, trusting relationships with families.

You’ll have autonomy to design your caseload and schedule, backed by unlimited CPD and career development opportunities as we grow.

What We’re Looking For

Registration – Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia, with eligibility to work in Queensland.

Communication & Collaboration – Strong ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Commitment to Growth – Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.

Diversity & Inclusion – Experience working effectively with diverse clients and team members.

Additional requirements:

Graduates – a genuine desire to build a career supporting children in a private practice setting (paediatric placements advantageous).

Current Speech Pathologists – Experience supporting NDIS participants, including report writing, is highly valued. Experience in supporting 2-4 year olds in a range of presentations is advantageous, as we have a number of clients on our waiting list from this age bracket.
