headspace Early Psychosis at Southport currently has an opening for a driven Senior Clinician, working primarily in the Mobile Assessment and Treatment Team (MATT).
About the Team
The Mobile Assessment and Treatment Team (MATT) manages all referrals and enquiries to South-East Queensland headspace Early Psychosis, offering triage and assessments in an assertive outreach engagement model.
Day to day work in MATT is varied and includes opportunities for comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, clinical formulation development, and planning clinical recommendations. This work also involves advocacy and clinical liaison with external providers and relevant stakeholders.
About the role
We currently have a full-time on-going opportunity. In this role, you will work in a team environment to manage referrals and enquiries to South-East Queensland headspace Early Psychosis, offering triage and assessments.
Reporting to the Team Leader, as a Senior Clinician you will:
- Take a lead role in a multi-disciplinary team delivering evidence-based interventions, working collaboratively with young people, their families, and their supports.
- Provide clinical leadership to our Clinicians and day to day shift co-ordination, role modelling organisational values.
- Respond to crisis phone calls and situations when necessary.
- Be flexible in supporting Young People accessing hEP, which may include supporting Functional Recovery groups and providing Case Management as required.
- Establish and maintain strong networks with relevant organisations and providers.
About you
You're an engaging individual, with the ability to connect with clients and families who are navigating mental health challenges and difficult life experiences. You have a genuine passion and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people and their families.
You will also possess the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Counselling), and eligibility for membership of an appropriate professional body.
- Demonstrated significant experience in mental health care, including completion of mental health assessments, risk assessments, clinical formulations and psychosocial treatment for young people experiencing severe and complex mental health challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, problem solve and support more junior staff in the absence of direct supervision.
- A high level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Capacity to maintain effective professional relationships with staff, clients, carers, and stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills and ability to balance workloads while maintaining self-care.
- You are diligent, thoughtful, reflective, inclusive, adaptable and genuine.
Compensation
The gross annual salary for this role ranges between $100,783 and $105,349 plus super. The salary on offer will depend on the successful applicant's skills, knowledge, and experience.
