Storeman /pick packers

Our client is a well-respected provider of essential healthcare services across Melbourne’s western suburbs. They are currently seeking reliable and experienced Storeman /pick packers to support ongoing logistics and distribution projects based in Footscray Vic

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team that plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in supporting healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities

Pick Packing: Organize and prepare goods for dispatch by accurately picking and packing items as per orders.

Dispatch Coordination: Assist with the dispatch of items, ensuring all goods are sent to the correct locations in a timely manner.

Put Away: After the daily delivery arrives in the morning, move pallets of items into the warehouse. Follow the coordinates provided in paperwork to place items onto the correct shelves within the warehouse.

Pick Up: Upon receiving shopping lists that include item names, reference numbers, and coordinates, collect the specified items from the shelves and place them on a trolley for delivery to the appropriate locations.

Ward Deliveries: Visit various wards within hospital, delivering the required items, ensuring accurate delivery and proper documentation.

Inventory Management: Maintain an organized warehouse, ensuring all goods are properly accounted for and stored in the correct locations.

Record Keeping: Ensure that all necessary records, such as delivery logs and inventory updates, are kept up to date and accurate.

Skills and Experience

Eligible to work in Australia, up to 38 hours per week

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to accurately follow written coordinates and instructions.

Experience in warehouse operations, including pick packing, put away, and dispatch.

Ability to lift and carry items safely

Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.

Desirable:

Previous experience in a healthcare logistics environment.

Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).

Valid driver’s license (if applicable for deliveries).

Working Conditions

· Work Hours: 6:30 am – 2:30 pm- Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays

· Employment Type: Casual Ongoing
