We are currently seeking Cargo Flight Clerks, who share our values of Safety & Security, Passion, Integrity, Reliability, Innovation and Teamwork.

Suitable candidates will be required to deliver a range of Cargo services including preparing cargo documentation and airway bills based at the Brisbane Airport on a Permanent Part-Time (Min 24 hours per week - Average 30 - 35 hours per week) basis.

What you’ll be doing

• Effectively ensure the Cargo warehouse operates by the free flow of import and export cargo between our customers and our clients' aircraft and their customers.
• Perform customer service functions, i.e. cargo reservation bookings, track and trace, and quoting as required
• Handle telephone and customer enquiries on all import/export cargo matters.
• Prepare airway bill documentation, information and manifests for flights.
• Check AWB data, rate charges, schedules and routings for freight.
• Process special handling, e.g. dangerous goods consignments, animals, human remains and perishables
• Assist in locating lost, damaged and delayed shipments.
• Dispatch SITA telex messages on inbound / outbound cargo and mail.
• Perform bond checks.
• Ensure appropriate rate charges are collected and accounted for.
• Prepare cargo claims files for settlement.
• Compile statistics for monthly reports.
• Collect cargo documentation from aircraft and procure necessary regulatory clearances.
• Control ULD's including compiling records and processing messaging to airline customers.

What we need from you

• Professional, approachable and warm in style with a strong attention to detail.
• Previous experience in an administration role - minimum of 2-3 years.
• Effectively and efficiently work autonomously.
• You will be extremely flexible and happy to get down into the detail and be operational.
• Exposure to a blue-collar workforce will be highly regarded.
• Applicants will be required to undergo a Police check, Airport security check and pre-employment medical as part of the standard conditions of employment.
• Strong ability to problem solve and deliver solution based outcomes.
• Can anticipate needs, be agile and flexible to ensure deadlines are met.
• Strong stakeholder services skills between our airline partners.
• Effective and efficient time management skills.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills, with a focus on detail.
• Proficient ability to utilise the Microsoft Office suite.
• Motivation and flexibility to work on a 7-day rotational shift roster as per flight schedules.
