About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Cook to join our team at New Domain Developments Pty Ltd in Ringwood, VIC. This part-time position will see you leading the kitchen and playing a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management

Work with a team of talented cooks, ensuring consistent food quality and efficient workflow

Develop and refine recipes, experiment with new ingredients and techniques to enhance our menu offerings

Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards and corodinate annual and random food safety audits

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment in the kitchen

Liaise with care staff staff to ensure seamless service

What we're looking for

Formal culinary training or certification, such as a diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or relevent experience cooking in an Aged Care or Supportive Residential Service environment

Excellent knowledge of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management

Strong mentoring skills, with the ability to work with and motivate a team

Keen eye for detail and a passion for creating high-quality, innovative dishes

Adaptable and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
