Black Garlic & Co is a proudly artisan, multi award-winning food business based in Sorrento. We handcraft premium black garlic products using organic ingredients, patience, and a whole lot of care.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a reliable, hands-on Production Assistant to join our small team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in food, loves working during school hours, and wants to be part of an exciting WA-made brand.

What You will Be Doing:

Helping produce our award-winning black garlic range

Prepping ingredients and materials for production

Keeping accurate batch and production records

Following our in-house systems and helping improve workflows

Keeping our kitchen clean and compliant

Following our cleaning schedules (weekly + monthly)

Monitoring stock and reporting what’s needed

Assisting with order packing during busy times

You will Need To:

Have at least 1-2 years experience in a commercial kitchen or food production environment

Be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg regularly

Be available to work between 9am-3pm on weekdays during school terms

Hold current Food Handler's Certificate (or obtain within 4 weeks of starting)

Hold (or be willing to work towards a) Food Supervisor Safety Certificate

Be proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn

Follow clear processes and instructions

Take pride in quality, consistency, and cleanliness

Be reliable, positive and a team player
