About the role

Dickies Transport is seeking an experienced HR Tilt Tray Driver to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of Machinery, Construction Equipment, Cars, Trucks and a variety of out of the ordinary items using our fleet of tilt tray trucks.

This Position involves local and away work both country and interstate.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate tilt tray trucks to load, transport, and unload equipment as per customer requirements

Conduct pre-departure and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and identify any potential issues

Liaise with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and manage unexpected changes or delays

Maintain detailed records of daily activities Via TMS system

Adhere to all relevant road safety regulations, company policies, and safe work practices

What we're looking for

A valid HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's licence and previous experience operating tilt tray trucks is an advantage

NSW Tow Truck Drivers Certificate

Good communication and customer service skills to liaise with dispatchers and customers

Able to travel to complete local, country and Interstate trips and be away from home regularly.

Able to Work weekends and after hours, this is not a set time 9-5 job, there is after hours and varying hour work and a good opportunity to make money.
