Join a program of national importance as a DevOps Engineer (SFIA 3–5) supporting the Department of Defence and one of its intelligence agencies. These are permanent, full-time roles based in Canberra and Bendigo, sustaining mission-critical platforms and applications.

The Role

You’ll contribute to the design, sustainment, and optimisation of secure software environments across classified domains. Responsibilities include:

Developing, coding, prototyping, and unit testing software

Sustaining and improving enterprise systems in line with compliance standards

Supporting break/fix Level 2 & 3 activities on secure applications

Driving adoption of DevSecOps methods across Agile teams

Mentoring and coaching other cleared professionals

Tech Stack

DevOps & Cloud: AWS, Kubernetes, GitLab, containerisation

Programming & Frameworks: JavaScript, Cesium JS, Ozone Widget Framework

Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL

Geospatial/Data Tools: GDAL

Collaboration & PM: Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), MS Office

What You’ll Need

Australian Citizenship (mandatory)

Current TSPV clearance with OSA

Proven experience in DevOps, Agile, secure software development

Strong documentation, analysis, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in high-trust, classified environments
